Model 812TO-76 Film to Glass Laminator
Walco understands the importance of the surface protection operations and has been the industry standard for protective tape & film application / lamination machines for Glass, Solar, Acrylic, and Plastics products for many years.
Walco Model 812TO-76 film-to-glass Laminator is specifically designed to apply pressure sensitive shatterproof solar control films to glass lites up to 72" (1830mm) wide and up to 1/2" (12mm) thick.
A heavy duty laminator with "operator friendly" controls applies the film easily and quickly with no wrinkles or bubbles. With optional unwinds, up to three rolls of film can be loaded for quick change of glass widths.
The Lites are washed, dried, and then immediately fed into a clean room to avoid foreign particles that may be entrapped as the film is applied.
Air Cylinders raise and lower the top roll to adjust for various thickness of glass. Laminating pressure is adjusted with an air pressure regulator.
Security film or the correct width is mounted in the unwind shaft and the liner is attached to a core on the rewind shaft. The liner separates from the adhesive very close to the nip point.
The operator wearing clean room clothing carefully aligns the glass to the film and presses the foot pedal to apply the film. The anti-static bar repels particles as the liner is removed from the film. To avoid “jog lines” each lite is laminated without stopping. Edge trimming may be done outside of the room.
With Optional Equipment a removable protective film may be applied either after inspection after inspection and trimming or in-line before trimming.
