Traffic Safety Signs and Barricades use reflective, “diamond coat”
laminates to be “seen” at night or under dim lighting conditions. A
highly reflective laminate is applied to standard street sign and/or
barricade stock with Walco Squeeze Roll Applicators (SRA). Walco’s
SRA series of laminator / applicators are built exclusively for traffic
safety sign and barricade manufacturers.
Walco offers three (3) standard traffic safety sign and barricade
specific laminators and three (3) standard PSA laminators.
Reflective Sign Laminates and Protective Maskings (PSAs) are absolutely no problem for Walco Machines laminators. Walco Squeeze Roll Applicators easily apply laminates with or without release liners, in heated or cold applications and are equipped with your choice of one (1), two (2), even three (3) individual unwind stations.
A Variety of Choices for Your Traffic Signs and Barricades
A specific Walco SRA model series depends upon your needed laminate film widths and frequency. Many options are available to help "custom" design each Squeeze Roll Applicator for your specific reflective sign laminates’ or protective masking application. Both narrow and wide reflective and protective film and edge rolling and extuded sign applicators are also optimized to meet your reflective sign laminate and protective masking requirements.
Reflective Sign Laminators
Walco’s reflective sign laminator/applicators are designed exclusively for applying aggressive reflective laminate to flat and extruded traffic safety signs and barricades.
Safety is built into each Walco laminator/applicator with mechanical guards, Emergency stops and an Automatic (emergency) nip opening are standard equipment.
| Walco's 818 SRA (low cost) series is designed for medium duty shops— specifically to apply reflective overlays to blank aluminum sheets. 52” and 62” widths are standard. Different widths are optional. | |||

| Walco's 822SRA (workhorse) series is the traffic safety sign and barricade industry standard for very active sign shops.The 822SRA’s robust, powered design has proven to be the very best value for any reflective sign or barricade application. Optional "dog-bone" bottom roll allows both extruded barriers AND flat sheet stock to be applied from the very same machine. In addition, the 822SRA can be ordered with Walco's exclusive edge-wrapping system, wrapping the new reflective laminate along the 90-degree edges of the extrusion (12.0” maximum width). | |||
