Global Safety Day at Walco
Because safety is a key priority for us, every year WALCO® organizes Global Safety Day in its three international plants to train and raise awareness of health, safety and well-being at work among all its teams.
The aim of this day is to improve the safety of our employees by reducing the risk of accidents, injuries and psychosocial problems, in line with the "zero accident" approach implemented by the Chargeurs group.
This year at the ASSIDIUM site, the main themes were prevention and first aid. Several workshops were organized by the Sapeurs-Pompiers du département du Rhône et de la métropole de Lyon to instruct and train participants on the following topics:
- Emergency alert;
- Illness;
- Loss of consciousness - LSP (Lateral Safety Position);
- Cardiac arrest - CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) & AED (Automated External Defibrillator);
- Acute airway obstruction;
- Burns;
- External bleeding: Local compression and tourniquet.
